Kite Conditions Vietnam

Vietnam’s peak kitesurfing season runs between October and April, peaking between November and February. During this time you can expect an average of 18-23 knots of cross-onshore wind, sometimes stronger when the northeast monsoon peaks. It’s also possible to kitesurf in Mui Ne during the summer season during the southwest monsoon, but wind during this time is less reliable and consistent.

Mui Ne Bay, though traditionally a fishing town, has plenty of space to enjoy kitesurfing in a spacious, obstacle-free area. During the high season, the wind swell creates choppy water with some fun waves to boost off and play around with a surfboard. Early in the morning when the wind is lighter, conditions are ideal for foil boarding.

Kite Spot C2Sky

C2Sky is located on the southerly end of Mui Ne’s main kitesurfing beach, where we enjoy some of the most spacious sandy beach area of any kite school in town. Directly in front of our club, we have a long stretch of shoreline where our customers can enter and exit the water. Our kite center is kitted out with storage rooms, showers, WiFi, a shaded chill-out area, and tons of comfy bean bags.

    Things To Do

    Whether you’re a solo traveler looking for some fun or a family searching for some kid-friendly activities, there are plenty of cool things for you and your crew to do in Mui Ne (apart from enjoying the awesome kitesurfing!).

    Start your day with a piping hot bowl of pho from our favourite restaurant in town, Choi Oi. Then, you could head north along the coastline to explore Mui Ne’s traditional fishing village, wander around the iconic white sand dunes, or take part in an authentic Vietnamese cooking class or go for our day trip on the Hidden Green Tour.

    Take a jeep tour through the countryside and discover the magical fairy stream, and stop off at the local wet market for some fresh dragon fruit on your way.

    Borrow some of our stand-up paddle boards and head off to explore the coastline, and have fun paddling through the traditional fishing boats moored in the bay. For on-land exploration, rent a bicycle from the local shop and set off on a two-wheeled adventure through the tiny back roads.

    Once you’re all tired out, settle down for a laid-back evening of fresh seafood barbeque and drinks with your new kite friends.

    I just had an absolutely amazing experience at C2Sky Vietnam! Even before I arrived in Vietnam, Liz was incredibly helpful and responsive. She organized my airport transfer and accommodation smoothly, which made everything completely stress-free. Her communication was fast, clear, and super friendly. She really cares about her students 💕 Once there, I took wing foil training sessions with Luca, an absolute superstar coach! 🌊🔥 His teaching style is calm, patient, and super professional. He explains things clearly, gives great technical tips, and makes you feel safe and confident on the water. Thanks to him, I progressed much faster than I expected and had so much fun doing it. My challenge was to be able to fly in 3 days, he helped me to go the extra mile and I flew .. not very long 😅 but I will leave Vietnam knowing what I must do to train further. What I really appreciated also is that the whole C2Sky team is professional, welcoming, and relaxed at the same time. If you’re thinking about learning wing foil (or improving your level), this is 100% the place to go. Huge thanks to Liz and Luca for making this such a fantastic experience.     I arrived at the surf club feeling very rusty after not surfing for several years. From the very first moment, Liz welcomed me with a huge smile - she was incredibly friendly, professional, and made me feel comfortable right away. I was lucky to get Quang as my instructor, and honestly, he was outstanding. He explained every detail and nuance with patience and clarity, knew exactly how to guide me, when to let me listen, and most importantly - how to truly teach. His approach was professional, calm, and very encouraging. Thanks to him, I was able to improve significantly, surf both downwind and upwind, and enjoy every single moment on the water. I felt real progress in a hobby I love. I can wholeheartedly recommend this magical place called C2Sky KiteSurfing. An amazing team, great vibes, and an unforgettable experience. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

    Amazing Care - Amazing Spot ! Highly Professional and Super friendly ! Liz running the spot has all under control and is always there to help and advise for kiting and non-kiting matters. First class teachers and staff. Good food, Rescue - nothing missing. Was important to me cause I went with my 7 year old. He got his lessons, although it was challenging as Mui Ne is not a flat water spot. I would not have let him go with any other kite school in Mui Ne. Perfect !

    If you’re visiting Mui Ne and looking for an amazing kitesurfing experience, C2Sky is the place to go. From the moment you arrive, you’re welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality by the owner, Liz. She has been an absolute delight, always ready to help, whether it’s navigating Mui Ne, exploring other parts of Vietnam, or even sharing practical tips like how to handle payments across Asia. Her global connections in the kitesurfing community are impressive and incredibly useful. The instructors at C2Sky are fantastic as well. Thanks to their patience and skill, my daughter was up on the board and riding within just three days, an unforgettable milestone for her. Beyond the kiting, C2Sky just has great vibes. It’s a lovely spot to hang out, enjoy a good coffee, or try the highly recommended chicken sandwich made by Luca, a must! I wholeheartedly recommend C2Sky. It’s a place run by wonderful people who truly care about your experience, both on and off the water.

    Amazing kitesurfing school. Super cool vibe and my instructor, Duong, was amazing. It was my first time and he was super skillful and friendly. Would definitely recommend to pros or people wanting to get into the sport.
